25 Weeks

It's been a fun couple weeks since baby girl #2 got her last update.  Most importantly, she has now made her first trip to the beach and Disney World, in utero of course!  We had the best time visiting our friends and spending some relaxing days as a family.  Big sis loved the trip and all the extra attention as well :)

Her dad and I finally decided to get on the ball and make some nursery decisions which is making me feel relieved and actually even more motivated.  We picked out Sherwin Williams Romance which is a really pale peachy pink... so now there will be two pink rooms in our house. ha! I hope our future buyer has a house full of girls too!  I'm really into a feminine, soft, sweet look for this nursery and looked everywhere for a pretty iron crib with a vintage look to it.  Unfortunately, iron cribs do not come cheap and I could not justify spending more on a crib than on new bedroom furniture for us!  But, I found a simple white wood crib that still has a vintage feel to it that I think we will love :)  I picked out ruffly white bedding and curtains that will be awfully sweet I think!  I tried my hand at my first polyvore board to combine the look of her room as seen below :)

I had a doctor's appointment the day before we left on vacation... the weight gain that I saw was not a happy sight just before taking off for vacay :(  No big deal though... still on track and eventually it'll come off (I hope).  More importantly, she was measuring fine and her heartbeat looked great.  We've got one more ultrasound to check everything out next week and then I'm hoping we will all be reassured and comfortable.

My bump is getting bigger by the day and I had my first person randomly comment on it yesterday.  I'm glad I'm moving into the stage of obviously pregnant rather than the awkward chubby/maybe pregnant stage :)  I am sad to be losing more and more normal people clothes.  I've got 2 more months of rotations where I have to be dressed up though and then in April when I'm waddling around I will at least be doing so in scrubs :)  Harper loves hugging/poking/kissing 'mama's baby' but when she can't access my belly she is also convinced she has a baby in her own belly.  I know it's going to be a huge adjustment for her but I think she's going to be great with a new baby.  She is so gentle with Claire and just loves hugging and kissing on her... though her kisses can get a little aggressive at times ;)

Here's our little update:
How far along: 25
Total weight gain: 16
Strechmarks: none

Best Moment this week: putting up our first bit of paint in her nursery and ordering crib/bedding

Belly button: getting shallow
What I miss: people not commenting on my heavy breathing (cough cough, andy)
