35 Weeks

I've always thought 35 weeks was a fun thing... 35 weeks down... no more than 35 more days!! haha  I guess that's not exactly true but I can't imagine that there's any chance I will last more than 35 days.  I'm actually 35 w 3d now and everything continues to chug along pretty smoothly.

I continue to feel really great and am so thankful for that.  Really no complaints physically except for some pretty little veins that have popped up on my legs.  I try to not look at them, pretend they aren't there and hope they go away afterwards.  And since it's not shorts weather, I don't have Harper commenting on the spots on my legs like she did with Emma Kate ;)  I've still got tons of energy so I'm trying to chip away at little to do's I keep on my phone.  I'm not sure if it's pregnancy brain or me just trying to juggle everything I've got going on but I have definitely been more forgetful.  Whenever I think of a little thing that needs to be done I've started adding it to a list in my phone and that keeps me on track!

Caroline's room is all ready to go.  I've washed her clothes again in some Dreft and that scent just brings happy memories to me :)  With each girl that's what I've used for the first couple months until their clothes start getting into the mix with everyone else so it's just a newborn thing.  I haven't packed a bag or anything but I do have a couple outfits and blankets picked out for her along with the big sister matching shirts!  It makes me laugh thinking back to how much I stressed over what outfits to bring for Harper, how many headbands/bows I packed b/c I just wasn't sure what I would like the best...  Times have changed!

The big sisters are both super excited.  Harper asks all the time when Caroline will be here and we just remind her that only God knows when she's coming so we just have to wait!  and Emma Kate totally knows what is up.  The other day while we were waiting at Harper's dance class, Emma Kate says 'baby Ali go to my home?' (Ali is a 9 month old baby that we hang out with while we wait)  I told her, 'sure but where will she sleep? can she sleep with you?'  She thought about it for a minute and says, 'no baby Ali sleep in baby Ee-yine's bed' (ee-yine = caroline, obviously ;))  It's pretty sweet!! My girls each have a bunny that they sleep with so of course we ordered Caroline her little bunny.  It was supposed to come in her Easter basket but Andy didn't realize what it was so opened in front of Harper.  But Harper and EK love it and are going to give it to Caroline as their big sister present.  I've also ordered them tiny bracelets that have a 'big sister' charm to give them when they come meet her in the hospital :)

It's going to be wild with 3 but I'm super excited.  I try to only think about maternity leave cause I am going to be seriously sad when it's time to leave again and return to work.

I feel like the only thing left to do before she gets here is clean my house... but honestly with 2 toddlers it is a never ending cycle that I never ever feel remotely caught up on so I'm sure it will be a mess the day she comes and that is fine with me :)  Andy and I also need to plan one more date night as those are a little bit harder for me emotionally when it's an itty bitty baby that I'm leaving at home :(

I meant to have Harper take my picture today but we were running late so another bathroom work pic will have to suffice! I'm making an effort to try to take a picture similar to previous pregnancies in a similar outfit so I can get a real size comparison haha.

33 Weeks

Happy belated Valentine's day!  Andy recently pointed out that this baby will be here most likely next month!! We are super excited but I'm still hopeful she will sit right in there as long as possible :).

We got the crib set up for miss Caroline's room yesterday.  Andy was assisted by two very helpful little girls who were more than excited to climb up into the crib and test it out.  All her little clothes are put in drawers but ideally I will still wash them again in some dreft.  I need to paint her monogram and get a couple more things hung up in her room and then I guess we will be officially good to go.

I'm at this happy little spot in pregnancy where I'm feeling pretty good, not yet swollen or too ginormous. It's obvious I'm very pregnant so not in that awkward really pudgy phase.  Plus as the end is coming closer I get a little sad about not having a baby rolling around in there all the time!  With Emma Kate, I had all these crazy hormonal emotions that I now know were just that, crazy.  I felt so guilty taking all that attention away from Harper, thought that deep down I'd never love a subsequent as much as the first.  Fortunately this time around I know that I definitely am capable of loving all the kids enough, and no one will ever get as much attention as the first kid did so no need to feel any guilt over that! ha.  If anything, I try to be more cognizant of middle child/baby because Harper is verbal enough to basically demand attention.  I now get to see how much Harper and Emma Kate love each other so I actually feel  like adding a baby will be easier this time from that standpoint.  H and EK play together all the time so rather than me being the constant entertainer, they take care of that :)

We had a great weekend celebrating Valentine's day.  On Friday we split up and took each girl out on a little date and then Saturday Andy and I were able to go out for dinner.  The girls were so into making Valentine's for everyone, trying so hard not to tell Andy and me what we got each other (which they failed at miserably ;)).  It's also the last big holiday as a little family of 4.  The chaos that will ensue when we turn into a family of 5 is kind of unimaginable sometimes but we can't wait!! :)

How far along: 33
Total Weight Gain: 25
Stretchmarks: None, lathering up in my lotion on the daily
Sleep: I've started waking up about 1AM every night basically having a hotflash.  And then Emma Kate requests to be covered up daily around 4-430AM.  And of course Harper breaks out in a scream whenever she has a bad dream/blanket is twisted/has a good dream/wants to say hi, etc.  So family naptime on the weekends is a must! :)
